Position: Full time – permanent Location: Gatwick / Brighton / Hybrid Driving commercial impact through strategic content and client partnerships. We’re looking for a commercially-minded editor to join our Global Brands team. The Commercial Content Editor will lead the delivery of paid content across our leading online news sources, including www.foodnavigator.com, www.nutraingredients.com, and www.agtechnavigator.com, offering a 360-degree view of the food, nutrition and agtech sectors globally. Delivering daily news and analysis, online and face-to-face events, podcasts and videos, our brands cover the issues and stories impacting decision-makers in these fast-moving sectors. Our role is to bring together our communities and deliver the most up-to-date insight to help inform and facilitate business decisions, while supporting our clients in reaching these audiences through trusted, high-quality content. What you'll be doing: - Working proactively with the commercial team to create opportunities that generate content, audience and revenue opportunities.
- Cultivating editorial relationships with other editors and working within our editorial guidelines to maintain a healthy balance of commercial content.
- Developing relationships with existing and new clients across our global markets, supporting and growing revenue streams across a variety of products.
- Line managing the Commercial Content Executive and overseeing freelance contributors / external support across all digital products.
- Managing production schedules for our high-value products (broadcasts / Immersive Features).
- Managing a commissioning budget for paying content contributors
- Writing and commissioning stories, pictures and video and managing these digital assets.
- Contributing to promotional/sales materials for the commercial team as required.
- Showcasing Commercial Content to other areas within the business and contributing to the wider Commercial Content Strategy.
- Hosting and moderating webinars, often on camera, in collaboration with clients and internal teams across continents.
- Briefing clients, recruiting speakers, and coordinating delivery of features, whitepapers and broadcast content.
- Managing multiple projects across global brands and clients, ensuring deadlines, budgets and editorial standards are met.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders including editors, sales, marketing, and ad operations to ensure smooth delivery and alignment.
What you'll need: - Strong editorial skills and commercial experience working directly with global advertising clients.
- Proven experience in writing, editing and commissioning high-quality journalistic content.
- Confident in delegating, motivating and coordinating work across internal teams and external contributors.
- A solid understanding of native and commercial content, and how to balance editorial integrity with client objectives.
- Strong understanding of SEO, social media platforms and multimedia storytelling.
- Extensive digital experience, including CMS proficiency (especially ARC XP), basic HTML, Photoshop/photo editing, and social media management. Salesforce experience is a plus, however training can be provided.
- Experience working as part of a news / journalism media organisation.
- Strong project management skills, ideally with experience using tools like Trello to manage timelines and deliverables.
- Ability to commission content that meets editorial vision, stays within budget, and meets deadlines.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a keen eye for detail and a creative, solutions-focused approach.
